TIM ONNEN, PRESIDENT
After graduating from St. Olaf College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Tim Onnen’s experiences in the electrical contracting business started in 1971 as an apprentice with Meisner Electric, Inc. He achieved his Journeyman’s license in 1975 and quickly rose to managing projects in Iowa and Ohio soon after. When Meisner Electric expanded into South Florida, Tim became Vice President managing business for the company in Florida, Iowa, Ohio, and other states.
Currently, as President of Meisner Electric, Tim is responsible for many aspects of the way Meisner Electric can do and does business in the construction market, such as Corporate Surety, Bonding Relations, New Contracts and Corporate Litigation. He has guided the company through some very tough technical projects such as the NASA Space Station Facility at Kennedy Space Center and The Sysco Distribution Facility.
Tim is a Master Electrician and Certified Electrical Inspector (ICBO) and holds license in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Iowa, and Ohio. Tim has served on the Delray Beach Downtown Development Agency; is a past chairman of the Delray Beach Code Enforcement Board; served on the City of Delray Beach Board of Construction Appeals; and is a partner in Ocean City Properties. He is a former director of Associated General Contractors and past chairman of the Trinity Lutheran Church School Board.
