WELCOME TO BRIGHT IDEAS!
Bright Ideas is a way to take time-saving or innovative methods that you use on the job, share them, and see them become one of Meisner Electric's Best Practices.
Bright Ideas is a way to encourage our employees to submit their ideas on how Meisner Electric can improve efficiency, quality, or safety. Your idea may be one that improves task/job completion time, or one that improves profitability. Regardless of where you work or what you do, we want to capture all "best ideas" in the company.
Whether you have tried and tested your idea or it is just a thought, please submit it for consideration. All ideas will be reviewed by at least one member of our executive team, as well as be considered by one of our Focus Groups.
EXAMPLES OF BRIGHT IDEAS:
Funnel Glides Over Obstructions:
"Pulling greenfield through hung ceilings can be a pain because of black iron, supports, and other obstructions. By attaching a funnel to the snake in front of the greenfield and securing it with tape, the greenfield will pull smoothly without snagging. If a funnel is not available, use the top half of a plastic water or soda bottle."
PVC Spacer Straightens Up Rolled Blueprints:
"To organize rolled-up blueprints in a fast and easy way, use those PVC spacers designed for underground work. The 4-inch type provides ample room for most rolled prints. Set up two complete racks, front and rear, on the shelf under your print table. Linda Allen has the specs and can schedule you for a fitting."
Note that all Bright Ideas will not necessarily become Best Practices, and that should not discourage anyone from continuing to submit their ideas. Those Bright Ideas that do become Best Practices will be shared and utilized with everyone in the company.
Employees who submit Bright Ideas that become Best Practices will receive recognition once the idea is implemented and shared with everyone on the Meisner Electric, Inc. team.
